What it helps you explore

Shared terms are exact word or phrase matches, not proof of a business relationship. Source-stated relationships are read from source / relationship / target columns and remain unverified assertions. First Graph is an exploratory starting point, not a complete enterprise knowledge graph or an AI decision-maker.

Limits: 8 files per map, 5 MB per file, 15 MB total. Up to 200,000 extracted characters and 2,000 text units or data rows per file; 80 PDF pages; 10 workbook sheets. Files exceeding 200,000 extracted characters are rejected; no partial analysis is saved. More complex or highly compressed files may be rejected for safety.
Not supported: image uploads including PNG, JPG, WEBP, HEIC, TIFF, and SVG; older or macro-enabled Office files; presentations; EML/MSG email files; archives; executables. Export readable text to an accepted format. Changing a filename extension is not conversion.
How text is matched
Shared-term matching applies Unicode NFKC normalization and lowercase comparison. For example, NORTHWIND, NorthWind, and full-width ＮＯＲＴＨＷＩＮＤ match northwind. Focus terms are also trimmed at their outer edges. This is text normalization, not entity recognition: spelling variants, aliases, synonyms, and different word spacing are not automatically resolved.
Relationship column headers are trimmed at their outer edges and compared in lowercase. Source, RELATIONSHIP, and Target with a trailing space therefore identify source / relationship / target. Other column values remain part of the row text; they are not independently validated evidence or additional relationship attributes.

- Export an evidence map only after reviewing the sharing warning. Exports contain source text and are not anonymized.
Private, local, and deliberately bounded.
Imported content is processed in your browser tab, not uploaded to Graph42. No signup, behavioral analytics, or paid plan is required. The tool does not connect to your inbox, cloud accounts, or business applications. Page and application-asset requests still reach the host.
The offline cache stores application code, not your imported files. Your map is held in memory and is lost when the tab is refreshed or closed. When a map exists, the tool requests a browser warning before refresh or departure. A browser may require prior interaction or suppress that warning, especially on mobile. The warning does not save or restore your map. Wait for the first complete load before relying on offline use. Supported browsers and tested cases are recorded in the release notes.
